Default Reason Optimism
Our young secondary. This may be a hell of a reach, in fact it is a hell of a reach. But I'm throwing it out there anyway!

Hooker, Wilson and Hairston remind me of way back in'81 when Bill Walsh realized that his '80 49rs needed desperate help in the secondary and drafted Ronnie Lott, Eric Wright and Carlton Willimson in 1st through 3rd rounds and paired them with Dwight Hicks.

Ballard has kind of done the same thing with our young trio to pair with Vontae Davis. Also, I like some of the other pieces of the secondary as well. Melvin isn't a bad player. Farley seems to be coming along nicely, and if we can ever get Geathers back to play rover back/nickel LB for us, this could be a really solid group.
