I'm sure there is some unfairness going on and that shame interviews do go on b/c of the Rooney rule (although there are probably some coaches who have landed jobs b/c they impressed in an interview that they may not have been invited to). If you look at the percentages though, at least those quoted in the article, other than head coach there doesn't seem to be a problem. Or at least nowhere near the problem Flores and the media seem to think there is considering that 12% of the US population is black.

Only one of the NFL’s 32 teams (3%) employs a Black head coach.
Only four of the NFL’s 32 teams (12%) employ a Black offensive coordinator.
Only 11 of the NFL’s 32 teams (34%) employ a Black defensive coordinator.
Only three of the NFL’s 32 teams (9%) employ a Black quarterback coach.
Only six of the NFL’s 32 teams (19%) employ a Black general manager.

Flores definitely did get screwed by the Phins, but the Giants probably did him a favor b/c they're a complete dumpster fire right now. Also, the whole Belicheat text evidence seems pretty suspect. Why would the NYG or Buff be consulting him on their hiring decisions?
