But starting players at any position can be found on Day 3, right? You just have to be good enough to identify them - which is really the rub after all. Like any position, I'd venture a guess that on average, guards picked in the first round have outperformed those picked in later rounds. Do you disagree?
You might argue that the consequences of picking a bad guard are less severe than, say, picking a bad QB. That I'd agree with. But it doesn't mean that you shouldn't pick guards until Day 3.
