Well if you are measuring the worth of opinions, I know Polian's is worth more than yours. Do you think your opinion is worth a couple wins.

Hankins? Well first of all, a new GM comes in and gets rid of the contracts of the old GM. That's standard operating procedure.
Second, Hankins also didn't fit Eberflus' system as a NT we were paying 30 million. It had nothing to do with veterancy and was about positional fit and salary cap.
Third, we replaced him with 4th round pick Grover Stewert who has become one of the best NT's in the league. I would say thats a win.
Eberflus' system wanted zone corners and you don't have to spend a lot of money on zone corners unlike man corners. Hence we just moved to man and we are spending a lot of money on man corners now. Different coaches and systems place differing importance on position groups.
Yeah Dayo and Paye, we drafted two big bodied DE's that can play the run and hold the edge like Eberflus wanted. We used rookies to fill a position group like EVERY other team has to do at some point. You keep expecting the Colts to not have to do that. They are not a unicorn that gets to ignore the standard practices the rest of the league also follows.

You think you are saying something here, but it's just saying "I don't like to listen to the opinions of people that know more than me."
Funny thing is I'm not necessarily opposed to moving on from Ballard. Eventually every tenure runs its course. I just get irritated by the uninformed drivel that comes out of the Colts fanbase because Indiana is an insular state and the fans only seem to follow one team and don't pay attention to football in general. Well, maybe two teams, since the Hoosiers miraculously won a championship.
