As I also stated in my post, the Steelers and the the Colts didn't throw in the towel after Terry Bradshaw's and Bert Jones' first 2 seasons ...... in both of those cases (especially Bradshaw's), they were worse than Richardson was.
So yes, you are correct in pointing out that Richardson did not play well overall in that particular game against the Patriots ...... but the bigger picture is more long-sighted than that. 2024 was Richardson's first full season in the NFL, after playing a total of 20 games in the NCAA.
This is from a previous post of mine, and is a better example of Richardson's improvement from earlier in the season. Richardson may or may not not sustain that improvement, but I believe that it is indeed still too early to throw him away.
