It's highly unlikely that the Chargers lose out, because they are playing the Raiders and the Patriots ...... but it is
NOT highly unlikely that the Bengals or the Dolphins win out and the Broncos lose out.
The Dolphins play the Jets and the Browns (both very winnable games for them.)
The Bengals play the Broncos and the Steelers (that will be tough for them to win both of those games, so we're better off hoping that the Dolphins win out.)
The Broncos play the Bengals and the Chiefs (both very losable games for them.)
THE BOTTOM LINE:
If there is any kind of 3-way tie or 4-way tie at 9-8 that includes the Broncos or the Chargers, the Colts will be in the playoffs.
If the Broncos and the Chargers both win 10 games or more, the Colts will be out of the playoffs.
