Not true at all ...... there have been quite a few teams that lucked into making the playoffs only to be easy meat for their opponent. Not a tough team if you are getting shut out in the playoffs.

5 out of those 10 teams won their first playoff game. 2 other teams (the 1989 Oilers and the 2013 Packers) lost games that went right down to the wire.

I agree with the author of that article that almost all of those teams were undeserving playoff teams with no shot of advancing to the Super Bowl, but they all were not necessarily easy outs in the playoffs ...... only 3 of them were beaten soundly in their first playoff game.
