Well I'm bored at work and don't want to work, so I'll play around with this. I didn't bother to watch the last preseason game, so I'm not entirely up on what all of these guys looked like in game.
OL (8): Will Holden, Sam Tevi, Eric Fisher, Quenton Nelson, Chris Reed, Ryan Kelly, Danny Pinter, Joey Hunt, Mark Glowinski, Jake Eldrenkamp, Will Fries, Braden Smith, Julién Davenport, Carter O'Donnell
Outside of the 6 I highlighted this looks like a bunch of JAGs or even worse. I'm not real crazy about Tackle depth.
QB (3): Carson Wentz, Jacob Eason, Sam Ehlinger, Brett Hundley
I really hope we don't keep 3. With Wentz's injury history it seems likely we will, but shit I hope not. I have no idea if we can safely stash Ehlinger on the PS, I think its 50/50 he would get yoinked.
RB (4): Jonathan Taylor, Marlon Mack, Nyheim Hines, Jordan Wilkins, Benny LeMay, Deon Jackson
I really liked LeMay in the preseason games I watched. He runs hard, and not just that one where he pulled the pile and got the taunting penalty. I know the FO is high on Jackson. But those are 4 quality backs in front of them and I don't see how we keep more than that. I wonder if Mack doesn't become tradebait.
Either way we might be able to stash these 2 on the PS.
WR (6): T.Y. Hilton, Mike Strachan, Zach Pascal, Parris Campbell, DeMichael Harris, Tyler Vaughns, Michael Pittman Jr., Ashton Dulin, Dezmon Patmon, Tarik Black
Here's another deep group, at least on paper, there's a lot we haven't seen from them. You got to figure the 5 I highlighted make the team. But who is the 6th? You'd think Patmon and Dulin both deserve spots. But even the other 3 bring something to the table.
TE (3): Jack Doyle, Jordan Thomas, Mo Alie-Cox, Kylen Granson, Farrod Green, Andrew Vollert, Kahale Warring
I assume Doyle and MAC are safe. I had thought Granson was, until they signed Warring. Vollert is interesting. I know Granson had some drops but it was mostly on finger-breakers from Eason.
DL (9): Kwity Paye, Kemoko Turay, Ben Banogu, DeForest Buckner, Andrew Brown, Grover Stewart, Antwaun Woods, Taylor Stallworth, Chris Williams, Tyquan Lewis, Al-Quadin Muhammed, Isaac Rochell, Kameron Cline, Dayo Odeyingbo
I highlighted 8, and yet I like Stallworth. I could be wrong about Tyquan Lewis.
LB (7): Darius Leonard, E.J. Speed, Malik Jefferson, Jordan Glasgow, Curtis Bolton, Bobby Okereke, Zaire Franklin, Matthew Adams, Isaiah Kaufusi
I feel like I don't know enough about this group at the moment. I feel like Leonard, Speed and Okereke are definitely in. I selected Franklin and Adams because they are veterans are have been decent, but I don't know anything about those other guys and whether they have shown anything. I'm also wondering about the need to keep 7 when we play so much nickel, and we may want that extra DB, DL or WR/TE.
CB (5): T.J. Carrie, Isaiah Rodgers, Anthony Chesley, Holton Hill, Kenny Moore II, Andre Chachere, Xavier Rhodes, Rock Ya-Sin, Marvell Tell III
And here's where I've gone over the limit. Who among those 6 could get cut? Rodgers would seem the expendable one, but he's a good returner.
S (5): Julian Blackmon, Ibraheim Campbell, Khari Willis, George Odum, Sean Davis, Shawn Davis
Like the LBs I just haven't seen enough preseason to judge these guys. I know Odum has been around but I'm not sure I'm totally sold on him. Do we keep 6 CBs and 4 safetys this time around?
ST (3): Rigoberto Sanchez, Rodrigo Blankenship, Luke Rhodes[/QUOTE]
Well thats all set.
