In 2021, MIA trades down from 3rd overall to 12th overall and then back up to 6th overall.

MIA gains:

- 2021 Swap their 4th round pick (#123) for a 5th round pick (#156) from PHI
- 2022 Gains 3rd round pick from SF
- 2023 Gains 1st round pick from SF

In 2018, IND trades down from 3rd overall to 6th overall.

IND gains:

- 2018 Gains 2nd round pick from NYJ
- 2018 Gains 2nd round pick from NYJ
- 2019 Gains 2nd round pick from NYJ

Thank you, Chris Ballard!

Your trade haul was SO much better than Miami's. MIA actually LOSES the trade game this season (moving down in 1st, moving down in 4th into the 5th) to gain only a 3rd next year and a 1st two years from now

The Colts immediate impact of players taken THE SAME SEASON, regardless of player taken, is so much more valuable than a 1st round pick 2 years from now which could be, for all they know, #32 overall.

Everyone is hailing MIA's moves as a guy playing chess while the other 31 teams are play checkers. If that is true, then Ballard is playing 6 dimensional chess.
