I saw this in the indystar

Quote:
Michael Pittman has the body for the red zone, and he was given a few chances to use it during Friday’s practice. Pittman caught touchdown throws from Jacoby Brissett and Philip Rivers in the final period at the end of practice, redeeming himself after he allowed Ya-Sin to rip a ball out of his hands on the way to the ground that appeared to be firmly in the rookie’s grasp early in the practice.

“The guy has really strong hands,” Sirianni said. “He’s not dropping a lot of balls, and he’s strong with the catch in traffic.”

Third-year receiver Reece Fountain is also starting to stack a few solid days together. Fountain, who was turning in a good camp last year before a gruesome fractured and dislocated ankle ended his season, made a pair of nice catches on throws from Brissett on Friday, including a contested grab against Tremon Smith and a touchdown catch in a red zone period later.

Brissett finished 9 of 10 on the day, the only miss coming on a throw where he missed an open Fountain in the end zone on an early red-zone period. Brissett has been efficient, taking short completions by the bunches. Rookie Jacob Eason finished 2 of 3, and Chad Kelly was 2 of 4.
We really need better receiver play. It was our Achilles heel last year, that and slow QB play. Hopefully we have a keeper in Pittman.
