Turay

Found this stat interesting:

Since Week 11, rotational pass rusher Kemoko Turay has gotten pressure on 21% of his pass rushes, which is the highest rate among all edge defenders with at least 50 pass rushes in that time.
Yeah, he is not getting the reps or the stats but folks who measure pressures are seeing his success. Just gotta get him dialed in a bit more.

Come on, coaching!

Walk Worthy,

Apparently the coaches are not happy with his effort at practice and are sitting him because of it. These coaches not only preach accountability but actually live it. It is good to see. Lets hope Turay has worked on impressing them and sees the field Sunday

Walk Worthy,

Sacks are obviously good but sometimes they don't tell the whole story and sacks can be circumstantial or lucky.

Pressure is just as important because they are causing the play to break down and only a few QB's still do well under pressure (Tom Brady isn't one of them). This is really good, sacks will come eventually. Just keep that pressure up.

Where did this come from? I've seen several people mention it.

He seemed like he was working hard w/Mathis earlier in the season. If he's the type to try hard in spurts but also go in the tank for a while then I don't see him ever amounting to anything.

I hope it is just the rookie wall and he will bounce back.

Eberflus was asked a few days ago why Turay wasn't getting more snaps. His response was "practice performance". Holder tweeted about it:

..

This aint OSU, where you have a ride. Let him live with his decisions and have the older guys clue him in. If he can't go in practice, he will take plays off in the game. IF he can't get clued in by Robert Mathis, then he shouldn't play.

Don't know what OSU has to do with anything, he went to Rutgers

Tyquan Lewis went to Ohio State. That is probably where the mix-up occurred.
