J'Marcus Webb to IR

Colts placed RT J'Marcus Webb on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.

It's the last thing the Colts needed as they wait on LT Anthony Castonzo (hamstring) to get cleared. "J'Webb Nation" amazingly played 81-of-82 snaps against the Bengals. He will likely be released with an injury settlement once he gets back to full health. CB Lenzy Pipkins has been promoted from the practice squad in a corresponding roster move

Recognizing the physical and violent nature of this game why does it seem year in and year out there is an inordinate # of injuries to the Colts team. I know, I know, every other team has injuries as well. Don't give a shit about theirs, I'm only really paying attention to the Colts. Just gets irritating after a few seasons of seeing key players with nagging injuries or seeing players sent to IR that they cannot afford to lose.

It feels that way, but I know I have a bias since I only follow the Colts tat closely. I am pretty sure that Chargers fans would argue they have had it worse.

Last year it actually got a little additional pub because we had such a high # of players on the IR. For years, going all the way back to Polian it seemed as though this team was all too ready to put someone on the shelf vs trying to get them back.

I hope that shit doesn't continue but the early trends aren't real positive.

Colts are quite healthy compared to last year.

Its the number of O linemen that have gone through the system, that have missed games or gone on IR because of injuries.

They had 7 different guys play C last year.

I'm less worried about the number of Colts injuries (I would guess it's average or below average to NFL standard) and moreso that every damn one seems to be a hamstring injury. Chances are it's just bad luck, but when you have so many injuries that are the same, you start to wonder a bit about training methods.

Or not properly warming up.
