Jaylon Jones

I wish the colts would have kept him. I don't see that he cleared waivers and was added to the practice squad. Hope that happens.

It seems curious that a 2nd year Johnathan Edwards and undrafted rookie Kapena Gushiken would beat him out for a depth spot.

Especially when you realize that Gushiken was signed by the Eagles and spent all pre-season with them and was cut on final cut-downs and then we signed him from there. And he is 5'10" and 190 pounds, it is not like he has prototypical size.

Jones gave good time. This move is curious.

But, hey, it is Ballard's last season as GM once we miss the playoffs again so....what the heck? Roll the dice....

Jones is a Gus Bradley-style, Cover 3 type CB. When Anarumo took over for Bradley, Jones no longer fit in well.

Saleh in Tennessee comes from that Bradley tree... of course you don't have to waste time connecting dots, because Gus Bradley is Saleh's DC in TEN.

I didn't feel like his year starting with us was awful. Maybe I'm just not remembering that well. I felt that he was relatively solid, and given his age he had some time to build on that year and get better.

Anarumo needs to be on his shit this year for sure. At one point I thought this DB room was 100% the best DB room in the league. We had Gardner, Ward, Moore, Jones, then Walley who is the prince of hype right now.

Now we are 1 injury away from being in trouble, again. I'll be curious to see how Jones does from afar. Perhaps he's regressed and this makes more sense.

he can cover better than our corners that aren't starting. I don't give a shit about the scheme
