Cfl
Am I the only one watching the CFL this season? I find it very entertaining and competitive. Just curious if anyone else ever watches a game now or then or if anyone follows it closely like I do.

The CFL is a more athletic brand of football than the NFL is, for the following reasons ...... 1) l The field is 10 yards longer between the goal lines. 2) l The endzones are twice as long as the NFL endzones (20 yards from the goal-line to the end-line.) 3) l The field is wider. 4) l You only have 3 downs instead of 4, so instead of 4 chances to get 10 yards, you have 3 chances to get 10 yards. Punting is done on 3rd down. All of the above makes the necessity for a heavy passing game, and a light running game ...... subsequently, the importance of slender and athletic wide receivers (and slender and athletic defensive backs to cover them) are at a premium ...... the field is so much larger and wider than are NFL fields, and so there is much more ground to cover. ********************************** All of that said, I don't watch a lot of Canadian Football because I don't have a team that I am emotionally invested in (as I do with the Baltimore/Indianapolis Colts.) o |
C&O, that was an excellent synopsis of the CFL!
