Miami will be without their backup QB on Sunday, they put him on the covid 19 list, according to PFT.

Interesting - if Tua folds under the pressure, they'll be nobody experienced to bail him out. Also, they beat the Dolphins in Miami in week 2, though that was before Tua was playing. The Bills seem to have played reasonably well against mobile QBs this year.

In this particular case, considering the fact that their 2nd-string quarterback is Tua Tagovailoa, Fitzpatrick missing the game is not necessarily a good thing.

The Dolphins may wind up losing this game, but it won't necessarily be because Tagovailoa is playing instead of Fitzpatrick ...... Tagovailoa's lack of overall experience at the NFL level is the only possible way that I see this as a potential "downgrade" for them in this game.


By the way, Fitzgerald's tenure with the Dolphins this late in his career is mildly reminiscent of when journeyman Steve DeBerg finished up his long NFL career with the Dolphins in 1993 ...... although, DeBerg did briefly come out of retirement for a few games in 1998 with the Falcons.
