They realize they’ll win more games if they stop complaining about the lack of preparation the current college game provides and just meet their drafted players where they are, instead of trying to force years of learning down their throats with suboptimal results.
This is the key, Coach and gameplan to the players you have, not the players you want.

"We're going to run the ball and stop the run" Tell me the last time that strategy worked in the NFL?

When the Colts won the super bowl in 06.

In the playoffs it was true.

Agreed, in the playoffs, it was true. The Colts ran the ball adequately during the regular season and stopped the run horrendously during the regular season.

Also, that was 12 years ago.

IMO, the adage should be "We will stop the run we have to and run the ball well when we have to."

That is the reality of today's NFL.

According to pro football referrence, the Eagles were in the top 5 in bothe team rushing and rush defence. So were the jags.

Are you referencing the the total yards statistics? If so bulk stats like that have little value.

For all 32 teams the top 10 rushing teams made the playoffs.

For all 32 Teams the teams are scattered from top to bottom, but most of the playoff teams were in the upper half in terms of yards per game. I used thar since we are talking about rushing.

Correlation does not equal causation. Teams with a lead run more and teams behind tend to pass more. Bulk stats used alone are junk.
