Jim Ayello's Bold Predictions for 2020 (September)

o

Of his 10 predictions, Ayello missed on several of them.

These are the ones in which seemed to have been pretty accurate on.

1) ) Most Colts fans will want Philip Rivers back for Year 2.

2) ) Jacoby Brissett will play at least 16 snaps this season ------ while Rivers is healthy.

3) ) Justin Houston will lead the Colts with 12 sacks (he currently leads the team with 7.5 sacks.)

This is one that is certainly in play, but I hope that he is wrong in terms of the Colts coming up short against an AFC elite ...... the only AFC team that really has me concerned is the Chiefs, particularly with their very mobile, all-world quarterback. I think that the Colts are capable of beating the Steelers, the Bills, and the Browns.

4) ) The Colts win a playoff game, but come up short against an AFC elite.

I wish he was right about Campbell leading the team in receiving. Dang, I still like the idea of Hilton, Pittman Jr., Pascal, and Campbell, along with a Mack/Taylor thunder/lightning backfield. You add the three productive, but underrated TE, and Rivers would really have plenty of weapons if injuries hadn't taken two of them.

Hopefully they can re-sign Mack for a reasonable salary, bring back Rivers, TY, and ? Burton ? (I think he is on a one-year deal), add some more depth on the O-line and defense, and REALLY be a force next year.

As long as they can get a QB for next year, the future really does look bright.

Orioles(tweet tweet)and Colts, always appreciate your honesty. Of course we are looking for the next P, but Mannings don’t grow on trees. Since Rivers is growing more accustomed bring him back but more like 18 m. Would go 20, but 25 is too much. Bring back JB, maybe 7. MFer got paid! However, he shared it. Props! I hope Campbell can come back because it will stretch the field, but I doubt he can block like the rest. Anyways, I believe our Colts can go all the way. Just depends on the trenches and play calling. In Reich I trust.

I'm with you Discfinger, I think that the Colts have a shot at taking it all, not a great one but a decent shot. If this defense and offensive line can get hot they can beat anyone.

The Colts DID NOT win a playoff game ...... but they did come up just a tad short against an AFC elite.
