I’m talking upgrading geathers not hooker. Not necessarily with the 1st pick but hopefully BPA covers one of those 4 spots and you take the best of the 4

Luckily the Colts have pick 34 they could also use on a SS.

This really isn’t that complicated. If you could take Harold Landry or Derwin James, you take James every day. You don’t rule out a position when you don’t know who is available.

I didn't see much of any impact from any safety--is it due to just how this defense is?--to warrant using a high pick on the position. Find another Antoine Bethea.

I wasn’t talking to you about hooker either. That was a separate conversation.

Bring back geathers and Farley and ss isn’t a need. We need to focus on the front 4.

Hooker admittedly was not the same player last year. But, I think that you under value his contribution.

The Colts defense was rarely were challenged with the deep ball partly because Hooker did his job of manning center field.

I totally agree that Geathers and Farley make a good enough SS tandem that SS should not be much of a consideration in the draft.

You can have your other Antoine Bethea. I want another Bob Sanders.

Geathers & Farley give the same level of competence as the current DL. Neither position is good enough to dominate and be the difference in winning a game. Ballard needs to try and upgrade both this offseason.

I'd prefer someone who is on the field more often than he was if it's going to be a second round pick.

The unique thing abou Bob Sanders, was that you could play him at either FS or SS.

I feel like Bethea was the same way, without having the impact plays of Bob Sanders.

Dline is vastly more important. You want to win the super bowl, you have to win up front.
