Tannehill to the Titans

When you have two QB's, you don't have a number one.

Go find some passrushers Ballard!

Voosh 03-15-2019 07:10 PM

Now they have two mediocre QBs instead of one.

Over the last decade (2009-2019), the Titans now have fielded 6 QB's on their roster that were not just a 1st round draft pick, but picked within the top 10 picks overall.

Vince Young (1.3)
Kerry Collins (1.5)
Jake Locker (1.8)
Marcus Mariota (1.2)
Blaine Gabbert (1.10)
Ryan Tannehill (1.8)

I realize that some of those guys they didn't draft and they signed or traded for them to be back-ups, but that is a very unimpressive list.

Makes you realize how lucky the Colts have been with Manning and Luck.

Miami might show some interest in Brisset. Being a former pat.

2nd round pick or GTFO.

That would be great, but I don't see that happening. Miami is tanking for 2020.

If 2017 was any indication, you can have Jacoby Brissett as your QB., where he’ll play respectably and still have you be one of the worst teams in the NFL.

Tanking for Tua.....

TheMugwump 03-16-2019 11:02 AM

The one to tank for is Trevor Lawrence in 2021.

Shame we don't have Miami on the schedule over the next couple of years.

But at least we have Tennessee. Those guys haven't had a decent QB since McWarrior. And looking at that list and seeing the Jake Locker pick at #8...pure comedy gold.

Yup. I would tank for that guy. He dissected Alabama as a freshman. Of course he is surrounded by top talent. But Alabama has destroyed other top QB's around the country. Lawrence picked them apart. I always bet on an accurate QB. He will be good.

Tannehill is better that Mariota. Just putting that out there.

If healthy. That's his problem.

Marriott has health issues as well. So if you get 2 injury prone QBs who hover around the Dalton line and combine them, you get Andy Dalton.

Hahaha so (QB<Andy Dalton)² = Andy Dalton. I think Tannilhil is more accurate than Marriota, still just dealing with mediocre QBs. We are pretty lucky since we haven’t had to deal with that for a long time.

The Dolphins are going with Fitz-magic. Miami signed Ryan Fitzpatrick to a 2 year - $11MM deal. Incentives could push the contract to $17-20MM.

If I were the GM and wanted to tank - I think I would have gone with Blaine Gabbert. I know Fitz isn't considerably better - but he may win you 2 or 3 more games if he has a hot streak for a few games like last year.

I’m biased here but I definitely would’ve begged Ballard for Jacoby Brissett.

Brissett is not a starting caliber QB. Most teams know this.

Fitzpatrick has proven that he can produce some huge games over a long career. Brissett has never had anything approaching a huge game.

Both can be turnover machines. So Fitzpatrick will definitely put more butts in the seats, which as of now is the best Miami can hope for.
