Hmmm...I wonder if they are going to pick up the 5th year option on Nelson...

Hoopsdoc 09-03-2020 10:15 PM

Good signing. Now if he can just stay healthy.

Chromeburn 09-03-2020 10:48 PM

He is the highest paid center in the league now. I wonder if we will have a rookie LT next year to help balance out the oline expenditure. Don’t forget Braden Smith will need a contract before Nelson.

Love it. He did a good interview about it over on dot com. He knows the game concerning contracts.

Think they are going to let him walk? Its all monopoly money. The cap will go up.

Well worth it!!! Super glad to have him stay a Colt forever

YDFL Commish 09-04-2020 07:30 PM

Love it! Now, let's do the same for TY, Marlon and Walker.

A starting QB on a rookie contract could also help the team's cap situation.

I think TheMugwump was referring to the last tweet from Zak Keefer. It showed that Big Q was signed through 2021 on his four year rookie deal.

Yeah, Zak probably could have listed as under contract through 2022 (with an asterisk) because there is about a 99.9% chance that the Colts exercise the fifth year option.
