You may be giving him too much credit.

Others have speculated that he was selfish enough (and stupid enough) to sacrifice being with his wife and kids because he couldn't walk away from the adulation of being a quarterback whom fans creamed their pants over.

The Buccaneers are a relatively respectable 7-7, and are riding a 3-game winning streak ...... they would like nothing better than to run the table and finish at 10-7, which would not only give them a 6-game winning streak to end the season, but also add some credibility to their NFC South division title.

I would like to see that contrast ...... with Tom Brady last year, the Buccaneers backed into their division title with a losing record ...... without Brady, they have a chance to lay claim to a bona-fide division title with a winning record.

The Buccaneers wound up winning 5 out of their final 6 games to take the NFC South title with a winning record ...... that's better than Tom Brady's final season, in which they backed into the AFC South title with a losing record of 8-9.
