If you take out Rodney Dangerfield's character, then maybe Happy Gilmore is better. However, he IS in the movie and pure comic genius, so it's not even close to Sandler's best version of his baby-talking schtick.

Obviously you and Pagano could not be friends.

Rodney was the GOAT of comedy

We will agree to disagree then. I think Rodney's ok, in an old-timey Milton Berle / Henny Youngman type of way, but the humor feels a bit dated to me. You might say he's the Gerald McCoy of comedians. Sandler's more of a modern SNL-type comedian (obviously), and movies like Happy Gilmore still hold up really well today. I'll agree Sandler's no longer as entertaining as he once was, maybe because his style feels more forced when used by a 50-year old guy, but he was in his prime in Happy Gilmore.

Problem I always had with Sandler (and David Spade too...probably others as well, maybe it's a habit from SNL days) is that he knows he's funny and sometimes as he delivers a joke, he kinda laughs as he's delivering it.

I think you spelled Richard Pryor wrong.

You spelled Red Foxx wrong, but Prior is his equal for sure. Prior flat out delivered. You should You Tube some of Foxx's stand up stuff. Hilarious, like crying hilarious. He wasn't always Fred Sanford.

Rodney was awesome during his day. But Prior is the greatest no comaposon

But Caddie Shack was a million times better than anything Sandler has ever done
