About everyone after he fumbled in the opening press on game.

A lot of people wanted him cut. Not sure about dudes here. I wanted him off return duty. That is for sure

Kind of what I remember as well.

Look, the kid wasn't ready for the NFL his 1st half dozen games. It happens. But I've never been down on Hines.

So much better than Josh Ferguson experiment.

He did look pretty bad in the preseason. But shows that preseason doesn't tell the whole story. And once they removed him from special teams he started to look better.

Shades of Lydell Mitchell, who caught a (then) record 72 passes in a 14-game season in 1974.


Mitchell followed that up with 60, 60, and 71 catches in 1975, 1976, and 1977 respectively (all of which were 14-game seasons, as well.)
