Dodds is second in the Colts front office chain of command behind only Ballard. Agree about there being "unfinished business." It is a nice sentiment and excuse to decline the interview - but the real reason has got to be the unconventional and somewhat chaotic reporting structure in Cleveland. The Browns have already hired a new coach and both the coach and the new GM will report directly to Haslam. Chief Strategy Officer "Mr. Moneyball" Paul DePodesta also reports to Haslam. DePodesta's contract expires at the end of this season but supposedly Cleveland wants to extend him. |
Hahaha I don’t blame him. They just go through coaches and GMs. No reason to go through that meat grinder, they don’t give anyone a chance.

Smart not to go

Any GM or HC candidate for the Browns should demand a clause in their contract that states that they can't be fired for a minimum of 3 years. There's no reason to go there otherwise.

I am surprised they can even find anyone to interview at this point. Shit franchise

Wow - this is the perfect fit.....Ryan Grigson has been hired by the Browns to serve as a special advisor to the front office. Poor Baker Mayfield.
