Tell played 255 snaps on the Colts defense last season, likely was going to compete for the 4th CB spot. Milligan played 134 defensive snaps, both at safety and as a big nickel

Reich had conversations with all 3 guys before they opted out, respects each one of them. "I feel like each one of those guys is family."

Frank Reich: “You’ve really got to respect the guys that opt out.” Says that there are going to be more opportunities to play this year than any other, so it’s a weighty decision to give up that year of opportunity.

Reich says he’s not sure what to expect as far as the potential for more opt-outs.

Tell kind of hurts, the other two not sure they make the team.

No starters so far. I still don’t see how they will pull it off though. This season is a gamblers dream.

Not sure about these opt-outs by healthy young guys.
It seems like this Covid bug lasts a couple of weeks or so and then you are good to go.

there's also reports of possible permanent cardiovascular damage...

it's too early to really know what this virus does to the body long term, regardless of age or health.

or nightmare

If you're placing wagers, you better not do it until just before the game. Otherwise if someone tests positive, you could be screwed.

After no sports any games are a gamblers dream, once the ball is kicked it’s all a gamble COVID or not

That’s the thing, the bookies and casinos will have to update everything immediately and that will be hard to do. Gamblers will have the advantage if they stay on top of things. Also many gamblers like to hedge their bets and bet on both teams. If I was a sports book, I might seriously think about opting out of certain sports this season, or not placing the line till a few hours before game time.

Colts will move forward without any additional opt outs.

Just three before the deadline: Marvell Tell, Rolan Milligan and Skai Moore.

Tell’s the biggest — was looking forward to seeing how the young cornerback developed in Year 2.

The Colts brought in another safety and a DT today. I guess they will need to sign them as long as they pass their physical and have a negative COVID-19 test result.

Per Albert Breer, the Colts brought in former Patriots and Lions safety Tavon Wilson. Only four safeties on the roster after Rolan Milligan decided to opt out.

The Colts have brought in former Saints defensive tackle Taylor Stallworth for a visit, per source.

A reminder: Per Chris Ballard, the Colts can't try guys out this year. If they bring them in, it has to be with the intent to sign them.
