Dangers of the NFL Draft

From King's MMQB:
Quote:

Joeckel, Mingo, Warmack, Fluker and Hayden were five of the top 12 picks in the 2013 draft (a historically bad draft, by the way), and all were either cut loose by their teams last week and/or signed by new teams.

Dion Jordan, Jonathan Cooper, Dee Milliner. All top 10 picks in 2013. All scattered to the wind less than four years later.
Of note, the Colts draft picks in 2013 were:

Round #1 = Bjoern Werner, OLB
Round #2 = No Pick (traded for Vontae Davis)
Round #3 = Hugh Thornton, OG
Round #4 = Khaled Holmes, OC
Round #5 = Montori Hughes, DE
Round #6 = John Boyette, SS
Round #7 = Kerwynn Williams, RB
Round #7 = Justice Cunningham, TE

Except for the traded draft pick....

So, Colts fans, it was not just us in 2013.

Cheers,

people have to get in their heads that 50% of the picks are going to be terrible or injured.

so we still need to work in free agency. low end guys can be had that can be productive.
