How many day one starters, along with Hankins, will the Colts have to draft in order to become a top 10 defense ? I would say any 3 of the following: Derek Barnett, Jonathan Allen, Charles Harris, Tak McKinley, TJ Watt, Zach Cunningham, Ruben Foster, Jarad Davis, Haason Riddick, Raekwon McMillian, Chidobe Awuzie, Teez Tabor, Sidney Jones, Quincy Williams.

Moving from #30 to top 10 defense in one off season is not going to happen. Sorry, NJ.

Keep in mind that it takes guys time to develop. Freeney wasn't an every-down player until the 2nd half of the year. Mathis wasn't a starter until after Brock was gone. Sanders wasn't DPOY until year 3.

Lay the foundation and then develop...which is why this coaching staff needs to be gone next offseason.

With a very good draft and our key guys staying healthy I don't think top 16 is of the question. Top ten though, probably not.
