Why have none of you lazy fucks started a thread yet?

Old Baltimore team beats current Baltimore team, 28-17 This Ravens team has more holes than the Colts, new coach, and just not as good as they think they are.

I hate the Baltimore Ravens more than I hate any other professional sports franchise ...... it will hurt my feelings if they lose to that guy who runs around like a modern-day Fran Tarkenton (Lamar Jackson), but I think that if Daniel Jones and company at least play well and lose a close one, that may still bode well for the Colts when their schedule gets considerably easier from Week 4 onward.

It would be something if the Colts start the season at 0-3 with all 3 losses being close, but then go 11-3 the rest of the season ...... an 0-3 start to the season might cause l Chopped Wood l to break the screen on his computer, or throw a foreign object through the screen of his television set.



All of that said, a single snap of the game has not been played yet ...... go Colts, and kick the Baltimore Ravens' asses today in front of your home crowd in the great Midwest.

Anarumo has a fully stocked pond of ball hawks in the backfield who are tailor made to play tough press coverage, but in tribute to the Gus way, he will continue to give 7-10 yard cushions off the line on 3rd & 2 so the other team feels good about themselves while Gus Bradley smiles and gives the tv a thumbs up in admiration for the respect he is worthy of.

The ravens suck and i hate them but i also have no confidence in the colts after the last few seasons. Todays game will tell me if im right or just a negative nancy.

One of the thousand interesting things about today will be whether (or how often) Anarumo plays Man and lets the coverage turn their back on Jackson.

Chalk move is to play Zone, but I'm excited to see what his plan is with these guys.

I still recall a troll on the RATS message board with the handle "Raven Rick" and one of our guys replied to him and addressed him as "Cravin Dick". I still smile every time I think of him.

Don't even want to make a prediction except to say the team with the least turnovers wins this game.

Amost exactly how i feel. I am even more of a negative nancy than you in that it will take a shitload more than one good/great game after last year to make me a believer in this group of guys.

I hear you, yes, zone keeping your eyes on him, is the default. However, you have dudes back there that should be able to keep this pretty shallow group of WR's in check- let them lock and have your damn line keep him in the pocket. If we do play a bunch of soft ass coverage, will just reinforce my belief that we didn't upgrade in any way with Lou. His shit last year was just as soft as Gus'. If so, then it tells me SS is really kind of a puss when it comes down to it- which is how I view him, which is weird given his penchant for going for it- when we shouldn't.

It's a new season boys! Happy to be back to watch Colts football, to listen to the optimists and pessimists in here react to each game, to correct Colts and Orioles when he makes mistakes (not often), to laugh at Omaha when he incorrectly grades the titles of threads (often), and to root for my favorite player, the beast who is Michael Pittman Jr.!

It does feel that way ...... but a punch in the gut is not as bad as a kick in the balls ...... if the Colts had fumbled at the goal-line, that would have felt like a kick in the balls.

I'm not sure which would have been worse ...... what just happened as quickly as we could blink, or a long, drawn-out, time-consuming driving that ended in a TD, which would have helped the Ravens' defense by giving them a lot of rest.
