The Colts vs. The Broncos ...... The Game of the Year (To Date)
o
The Colts are 6-7. The Broncos are 8-5. The winner of this game not only owns the head-on tiebreaker between them, but the Colts will also own a 3-way tiebreaker should the Colts, the Broncos, and the Ravens all finish the season with identical records of either 10-7 or 9-8. The Colts also have a modest chance to win the AFC South should they run the table, and finish the season with a record of 10-7. If the Colts lose this game and fall to 6-8 (which would include losing the aforementioned tie-breakers), they may as well start planning for next season ...... it's all on the line with this game, just as it was against the Patriots this past Sunday. With a Puncher’s Chance at the Playoffs, the Colts Must Surmount the Broncos at Mile High (By Thomas Butler-Guerrero) https://www.stampedeblue.com/2024/12...nt-the-broncos o |
We have a much easier schedule. Colts win in Denver and they're in, in my opinion.

Since the retirement of Andrew Luck, the Colts have been one of the most unpredictable teams in the NFL with the exception of 2020 season when they had Philip Rivers at quarterback ...... the Colts are very capable of going 3-0 in their last 3 games after the Broncos contest ...... and they are also very capable of going 0-3 in their last 3 games after the Broncos contest. o |

Thanks, I'll fix it ....... but it would be a hell of a story if the Colts became the first team ever to win a division in which they did not play in. o |
What Bo Nix and Sean Payton will do to Gus Bradley’s defense should not be available to watch for viewers under 18.
|
At the beginning of the season I saw this game as an easy win, but Bo Nix has proven to be a fierce competitor and what he may lack in some areas, his leadership and good decision making more than compensates for it! As you can tell, I am a Bo Nix fan, not next weekend of course, but the Colts will have to play one of their best games to win in Denver!

Last week, Anthony Richardson led the Colts to a win at home. Next week, Anthony Richardson will lead the Colts to a win on the road. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS lllllllll - l33 DENVER BRONCOS )))))))))))))))lllll - t29 o |

Gus Bradley is undoubtedly curled in the fetal position sobbing and asking God for some kind of emergency later this week to prevent him from having to try to defend against them- and we're still 8 days away from game day. |

Anthony Richardson will bail him out on the other side of the ball. o |
I really don't see a way the colts win this game.
the colts generally come out flat when they have to win. the importance of the game will be lost on these guys. there is no accountability or leadership in that facility. I doubt the Broncos will have that issue. |
2nd ranked scoring defense in the league. They also lead the league in sacks.
AR will likely struggle in this game. |

I don't see how anybody could objectively make this claim. As I stated earlier, the Colts have been one of the most unpredictable teams in the NFL since the retirement of Andrew Luck ...... this season alone, they beat the Steelers (one of the best teams in the AFC), and they lost to the Jaguars (arguably the worst team in the entire NFL.) Additionally, the Broncos are a pretty good team, but they aren't the Lions, the Chiefs, or even the Packers ...... they just barely beat the Browns with the help of 2 pick-6's from Jameis Winston. If you assert that the Broncos should be favored to win this game on their home-field in Denver, you will get no argument from me ...... but saying that there is no way possible that the Colts could win this game, as though we're talking about Curtis Painter and the 2011 Colts going up against Joe Montana and the 1989 49ers is a pretty radical claim. o |

you know, the kind of game the colts seem to always lose. the broncos aren't world beaters so sure there is a possibility the colts win. I just don't see this version of the colts being able to win |
I can't see the Colts beating the Broncos either. Bo Nix will destroy Gus Bradley's lame ass. Playing 10 yards off the line of scrimmage when it's 3rd and 3 is maddening. I really hope I'm wrong about this, but I doubt it.

I think that you mean the Broncos, bot the Dolphins. o |

Like I said, you'll get no argument from me on this. But your original statement asserted that there was no way that the Colts would win, and I believe that that is a stretch. Unlikely that the Cots will win, yes. Highly unlikely that the Colts will win, perhaps. But no way that the Colts will win, that's pretty far out there. o |
Depending on how you look at it... One reason for optimism is that they have played winnable games where one side showed up and the other side just flat didn't.
If they can hit the refresh button now, get some guys back (most impactful would be Brents), and put together an all around game... They can beat DEN which gives them a great shot at running the table. |

Agreed ..... at the very least, I think that the Colts have the proverbial puncher's chance to win this game. I have no problem with anybody who is pessimistic about the Colts' chances to win this game. In fact, I don't even have a problem with anybody who predicts that the Colts will lose the game by more than 10 points. But I would strongly rebut saying that the Colts don't have a prayer to win the game, because the play of either team this season (the Colts and/or the Broncos) would not indicate that at all. I agree with most of what Omaha said in his most recent post in this thread, but his original assertion that there is no way that the Colts could win does not seem objective. o |

Even as a rookie. I think Payton is a good coach and he will coach Nix up more than enough to beat our Colts. |

I honestly never thought Bo Nix would be an NFL quarterback. And I'm an Auburn fan.

Have to say, as much as it pains me to say it, this is the week the opposing coaching staff lays out the blueprint for why our coaching staff is inferior, and that includes the GM. Our "playoff" season ends tomorrow. Now, don't get me wrong, I will be rooting hard and pissed if we lose!!! I travel tomorrow and land at kickoff time. May have to miss a majority of the game. As soon as I can fire up the laptop on the team website and start streaming the audio, I will.

As Omaha pointed out earlier in the week in this thread, the Colts have lost almost every crucial, late-season game in which they played between 2019 and 2024, with the exception of the 2020 season when Philip Rivers was taking the snaps behind the center. Jonathan Taylor's inexcusable gaffe which cost the team a chance to take a 20-7 lead and to get a real stranglehold in a game in which the Colts' defense was playing the game of their lives against the talented Bo Nix and company punctuated that failure. o |
