Pagan0-2

Four straight years.

He's a bad coach and Colts needed to move on last year, but this is actually the rare game where I don't have any major qualms with the coaching staff. They did about as well as they could expect to. Kenny Moore is a scrub who ruined a lot of the game, and Jacoby Brissett isn't going to drive you to a victory. Not sure how much you can do with that.

Not having pagano as a coach would go a long way.

Pagano kept trotting Kenny Moore out there. So I fault him for that.

The fact that Pagano still roams the Colts sideline is a major qualm.

I agree, he was less crappy Pagano than usual.

Still a pretty worthless head coach overall though. Discipline problems were evident in the 4th quarter.

It's like when we always started 10-0, just the opposite.

Nothing like watching two bad teams battling it out.

Look, it's a rationality litmus test.

Post of the Week!

He iced a kicker... probably the best timeout he's called in his entire tenure here.

Indystu2 09-18-2017 09:09 AM

Pagano 0-2 is like saying "Hey look! The sun is rising in the East!" Of course it is.

Actually, the stats show that "icing" the kicker is pretty much ineffective. The success rates are virtually identical from calling a TO before the kick to not calling the TO.

At best, a neutral coaching call given the game situation.

Walk Worthy,

Walk Worthy,

But you know if Dawson had missed the first and made the second, everyone here would be crucifying him for that despite this being true.

He has a weird persecution complex about Pagano.

You know crucifixion was a common execution method of the Romans, right?

Walk Worthy,

Agree... the intent was a bit of half-assed sarcasm. A complete Pags move, and probably one of the few late game time outs that actually helped us, despite the odds.

Why did he call a timeout with 10 seconds left? Palmer had his hands up and was about to call one...

HoosierinFL 09-19-2017 09:25 AM

while the icing timeout worked, the fact that they were in position to kick that FG boiled down to poor clock management at the end of the game. A few run plays and they don't even get that shot.
I think Pagano got lucky on that one.
