Game Thread: Season On the Line vs. Buffalo Bills
o
I'm not throwing in the towel for the 2021 Colts' playoff chances until (and if) I see 8 losses on their overall record ...... however, this game is very pivotal, especially considering the fact that the Colts have not beaten a good team since their overtime win over the Packers almost one year ago to the day. http://www.jt-sw.com/football/boxes/...2020-11-gb-ind llllllllllllllllINDIANAPOLIS COLTS llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll lll vs. lllllllllllllllllllllllll,, BUFFALO BILLS o |
I want to see the inactive list before I know if we have hope. Buckner needs to be active, as do Leonard and every DB we have.
That said, I am hoping that our young DEs continue to make some noise in the backfield, or we are in for a long day. |
Championsheeep!!!! Go Klotz! :D
|
Now we start facing good QBs
|
I don't want to sound like a whiner....but I hope the men and possibly women in striped suits don't screw us over today!
I feel very confident in the Colts today if they get a fair shake from the refs....Colts 31 Bills 17 |

My predictions for the game:
- We'll come out firing (especially on O) and build a double digit lead. - After that our O will go stagnant, partly b/c we get away from the run, and Buffalo will figure out how bad our pass D is and quit trying to run. This will lead to blowing said lead with Buffalo winning fairly comfortably. - Frank will go for it on 4th down when he shouldn't and make a couple of really bad play calls. - Wentz will make a couple of really stupid hero ball decisions. - Taylor will have multiple long runs negated by unnecessary holding penalties. - Our OL will struggle with pass blocking in the 2nd half. - If Leonard plays he'll force another fumble, but will struggle other than that due to his ankle. 29-20 Buffalo. |
Buffalo has the number 1 defense in the NFL and the kind of athletic quarterback that is kryptonite to the Colts defense.
There is no way we’re winning this game. We might get blown out. Sorry, that’s just reality. |
LB Darius Leonard and CB Xavier Rhodes are both listed as ACTIVE for today's game.
Colts Inactive List: Healthy scratches: RB Marlon Mack WR Mike Strachan OT Julién Davenport OL Will Fries DT Antwaun Woods |
Banogu is active? Wonder if he plays. There has got to be a reason he is still on this team
|
Buffalo will be without a key member of their defense for today's game.

The offense needs to run the damn ball. Let the O line attack this defense. Maybe a screen pass would surprise them, it would shock me.
|
Who is kicker today?

This game will be won or lost by the Colts pass defense. The Bills hardly ever run the ball, so it would be no surprise to see Josh Allen throw it 50 - 60 times today.
Bills win by at least 30. |
Anyone have a link to stream it?

I agree with running the ball more often, but I would hope that they do so in a not so predictable manner ...... mix it up with some pitches and sweeps to the outside, some draw plays on what appears to be passing downs, and perhaps a couple of reverses and/or double-reverses with an option for the wide receiver to pass the ball if he doesn't have a clear field after the reverse. Frank Reich has a good head on his shoulders ...... his biggest problem overall has been that he occasionally fails to use it. o |
Let’s fuckin go!!!!
|
Good solid 3rd down pickup.

Nice "tricky" hand-off to wide receiver Hines, which netted 8 yards on 1st down. ) o |
Man we really know how to fuck up a good drive.
|
JT is absurd!
|
All Taylor seems to do is get 6+ yards if he goes straight.
|
Dog!
|
Have I mentioned before that I love Pittman, Jr.?
|
Hell of a drive by the Colts there. TD!

Man we got a freaking stud of a RB in Taylor.

LET's GO!!!
|
Odum for the pick!!!
|
Fuck yes, what a great start!! Nice job Odum!
I was a bit surprised they took the penalty anyway, but I guess it did push them back from a potential FG. |
Wasn't digging Reich's decision to accept the penalty and give Allen another shot at 3rd down, even if it was 3rd and 18, but that definitely worked out even better than I could've hoped/expected.

Worked out well though. |
