T.Y. Hilton's Reemergence ???

o

(vs. TEXANS, 12/06)

Hilton had a season-high 8 catches, a season-high 110 yards receiving, and 1 touchdown ........ it may have been the best that he has looked in quite some time.

Didn't he have a TD last week?

Yes. Thanks. I'll fix it.

HoosierinFL 12-06-2020 08:31 PM

I'll call it a reemergence if he plays like this next week, otherwise its just his annual beat down at NRG

DragonTails 12-06-2020 08:37 PM

He's a non factor. Invisible. Except vs Hou.

Is he taking games off? Does he run bad routes with no separation? Is it poor game planning?

It's your lying eyes. Watch the games, pal.

I think so, too. That's why I have the question marks in the thread title.

I think that he needs to have at least 2 good games in the 4 that are left to be played this season in order to really make people believe again.

DragonTails 12-07-2020 07:37 PM

I don't think it's my eyes.

Half the games are under 40 yards and zero over 100 until this week. That's called a non factor. 500 yards last year. Non factor.

He sure is proud of himself after a catch, though.

Are you a troll? What team do you root for?

No troll. Live long Colts fan.

I just got pretty disgusted with Hilton disappearing/drops every game and then watching his celebrations on 12 yard receptions.

And then this thread and everyone with rose colored glasses on for him...although the thread is actually a question.

Why does he only play well vs Hou?

If Campbell didn't get hurt, Hilton could be on the bench. He's playing like a borderline #3. Just calling it like I see it.

Discflinger 12-08-2020 07:39 AM

I don’t know who he is talking to after the catches, but he needs to keep talking to them.

He obviously isn't watching the games, but only looks at the stat sheet. It has been broken down how many plays TY has had taken away due to penalties, both called and not called.

Chromeburn 12-08-2020 07:00 PM

Rivers needs to trust him more. Also he has had a few games where he made plays but were negated due to penalties.

I can sympathize with the struggles a lot.

I do think it's concerning, however, that Hilton has not been able to match the production he was paid for without Luck throwing him the ball.

He's slowing down. That kid who took the punt back against the Bills his rookie year is probably gone. He's more polished now, but he was already undersized.

If you look at the whole body of work, you will see two bad games at the beginning, and then a bunch of games where there were opportunities denied by the refs or penalties made by a defender whom he had beaten. Maybe Lawrence Owen could do a breakdown using All-22 for us.

Hilton had a solid game today, particularly in the 1st half.

He led all Colts' receivers in 3 major categories (Receptions, Yards, and TD Catches.)

If TY is involved early it seems to help the team as a whole. Just throw him the ball Rivers.

Let's hope he can keep it up. That was a really satisfying win.

Lawrence Owen did a breakdown of TY. It was, in fact, DTs (who is, in fact, a troll)lying eyes and not a fact. TY had a bad game or two to start the season, and since then, he and Rivers have started to click.

Mr. Session 12-14-2020 08:19 AM

I'm glad TY is heating up.

He could have had 2 long TD's yesterday if River's hadn't have underthrown him.

Lately I've been watching that kid out of Alabama, Smith. It's probably completely unrealistic but if TY is gonna be able to close out the career at a high level I'd love to get that kid in the building and have him develop with Pittman.

Solid? Geez he had several catches that moved the sticks. He was the best on the field yesterday

Maniac 12-14-2020 09:13 PM

Brissett was a huge reason why TY went so long without a 100 yd game. Injuries as well.

I also made note of the fact that he led the team in all 3 major receiving categories.

Sorry if my description of his game was that underwhelming/inapt.

Hilton had 4 receptions for 71 yards this afternoon ...... only Zach Pascal had more (5 receptions for 79 yards and 2 TD's.)

It appears that Hilton has reemerged late in this 2020 season.

Hilton has his work cut out for him in the upcoming playoffs ...... the entire Colts team does.
