The official colts vs shit stains 2nd loss of the year gameday thread

Have at it ladies.

Colts are going to need to score points to win. They will just come up short imo

Hoopsdoc 10-11-2020 10:49 AM

Yep, 3-2 here we come.

With AC and the maniac I think we’d win.

Without, not so much.

Reich will have the team ready ...... if the players even started to get big heads because of their 3-game winning streak, Reich reminded all of them that they got their asses handed to them by the Jaguars, and that they have not advanced beyond the divisional round of the playoffs in 6 years. The Colts will win.

Still not terribly worried about Clark, we've seem him struggle at RT, but in last year's preseason, and maybe mop up time elsewhere, we've seen him look pretty good at LT. I think that's his more natural position. Plus the colts won't be stupid, they've surely got a plan for TE help on that side, plus I expect Nelson to be on his game to help out.

Now Leonard and the other injured LBs, that's what worries me, I don't think we'll look like the #1 defense in the league today.

TheMugwump 10-11-2020 02:33 PM

Keeping in mind what the Colts looked like in week one...

Against a good Ravens defense, the Browns only scored six points.

Since then,

The Browns scored 35 on a Bengals defense that is averaging 25.6 points against not counting that game.

They scored 34 points against a Redskins defense that is averaging 26.0 points against, not counting the Browns game.

And they scored 49 points against a disaster of a Cowboys defense that is giving up 32.3 points against, not counting the Browns game.

So, yeah, they scored better than average against each defense since week 1, but those are crappy defenses.

I like the Colts chances to hold them under 24. The question is Indy's offense. Can Rivers lead them to more than 24?

I think yes. So...let's predict 28 - 20. Better than that if they can force Mayfield to do stupid things, which he sometimes is prone to.

Anthony Walker is active for today's game against Cleveland.

Colts Inactives list:

T Anthony Castonzo
LB Darius Leonard
DT Eli Ankou
DE Ron'Dell Carter
QB Jacob Eason
WR Dezmon Patmon
TE Noah Togiai

Colts lose this one.

A+ on the thread title.

45-21

Dewey 5 10-11-2020 04:30 PM

That is a fumble

TheMugwump 10-11-2020 04:31 PM

I hope so. If it is, head's up play by Grover.

The Raiders upset the Saints earlier this season.

They just now completed an upset of the Chiefs.

Should've been our ball. The Browns avoid the early turnover thanks to some ref help, and now it looks like they're going to open the game with a TD.

Refs fucked that up big time. It was a damn fumble recovered by the Colts. Fuck you refs.

Yea I'd like to hear how they decided it was not a fumble if the whistle hadn't been blown

Dewey 5 10-11-2020 04:38 PM

Held them to a FG. Could of been worse

TheMugwump 10-11-2020 04:39 PM

Is that the third game in a row that the Colts gave up a FG on the first drive?

Brylok 10-11-2020 04:39 PM

Well 3 is better than 7. Nice to see Parkey still has a job.

Spike 10-11-2020 04:39 PM

Refs 3, Colts 0.

The defense stiffened on a compact field, inside the 10 yard-line.

TheMugwump 10-11-2020 04:44 PM

That's it. Get Taylor into space as often as possible.

Ugh. Eight yards forward, two yards back.

nate505 10-11-2020 04:45 PM

I missed the bad call due to the Chiefs game going forever. That sucks the refs fucked it up.

nate505 10-11-2020 04:45 PM

Great catch and throw!!!

Brylok 10-11-2020 04:46 PM

Marcus Johnson! Huge catch

Brylok 10-11-2020 04:46 PM

Phil is a tortoise back there

Maniac 10-11-2020 04:47 PM

Marcus Johnson just keeps making plays.

Butter 10-11-2020 04:47 PM

Christ Rivers is so immobile

Butter 10-11-2020 04:48 PM

They need to give Clark some help ffs

Brylok 10-11-2020 04:48 PM

Frank rolling the dice. Glad it worked

Maniac 10-11-2020 04:49 PM

Hilton was also open on the previous play on a slant in.

nate505 10-11-2020 04:49 PM

Now that's a great 4th down call

Spike 10-11-2020 04:49 PM

Love Marques Johnson. Hell of a throw by Rivers.

TheMugwump 10-11-2020 04:49 PM

GREAT call there.

Butter 10-11-2020 04:49 PM

That was a beautifully executed play

WaynesWorld87 10-11-2020 04:49 PM

Woooowww!! Can't believe that worked so well. It was a pretty standard misdirection play, putting one guy in motion faking a jet sweep, and handing it off to someone else, and Taylor walked into the endzone.

Maniac 10-11-2020 04:50 PM

Pascal did a great job there.

I would not have gone for it on 4th and 2 at that part of the field, because it is so compact and easier to defend ...... it's a good thing that Reich is the head coach, and not me.

He's low key becoming one of my favorite Colts of the past decade or so.

Maybe.

You're still better than Pagano, though.
