Official Clash of the Rookies Texican'ts Game Day thread

Texican'ts suck, and so does Dam's boy Stroud.

AlwaysSunnyinIndy 09-17-2023 09:44 AM

Hopefully Kwity and the D-Line have a big day today!!

Texans OT Laremy Tunsil, listed as questionable for Sunday’s game due to a knee injury, is not expected to play vs. the Colts, per source.

If Tunsil doesn’t play, he would be the fourth regular offensive line starter that Houston would be without, including both starting tackles.

omahacolt 09-17-2023 09:56 AM

C+ on the title

i have a weird feeling the colts won't be able to get pressure

it wouldn't make sense but that seems how the colts have done things over the last few years. do the exact opposite of what makes sense

Oldcolt 09-17-2023 10:20 AM

On defense, can we start to get some consistent pressure on the QB and can Shaq gain confidence and take another step. Offensively looking at the continued development of AR (mostly a continuation of building his short to intermediate game-working on setting into good mechanics-with hopefully an airing out or two) and an huge improvement on the run game. It is time to this team to start to learn how to win games.

Last year, the Colts' season was an absolute disaster. Their 4-12-1 record was (along with the 4-12 2017 season) their worst since the 2011 Peyton Manningless season when they went 2-14 ...... but in that same disastrous 2022 season they beat the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, and barely lost to the other Super Bowl participant Philadelphia Eagles by 1 point.

Both Richardson and Stroud will play well ...... the Colts will win the game.

I had a brief moment of pride when I saw that had more "thanks" than you do ...... but then I realized that I have more than 3 times as many posts as you do, which reinforced the reality that I am not much more than a windbag. ) :o

With all of the injuries to their OL, that would be very disappointing! Colts should dominate today!

Oldcolt 09-17-2023 12:05 PM

Dominate? I would love to see but my imagination isn't that good.

Ogletree cleared concussion protocol yesterday. Surprised he's inactive. Guessing the Colts are being conservative here?

Also, Hambright being inactive is a good sign that Nelson is good to go.

Unfortunately you'll probably be right

Puck 09-17-2023 12:57 PM

Damn it. I wanted us in away whites.

Brylok 09-17-2023 01:01 PM

Gentlemen...

Brylok 09-17-2023 01:04 PM

Nice rack, Jen.

CletusPyle 09-17-2023 01:06 PM

I like the game plan so far!

CletusPyle 09-17-2023 01:09 PM

Wow....great start!

Cousin Jim Bob mixing it up!

Spike 09-17-2023 01:10 PM

AR with the TD.

Awesome call.

Brylok 09-17-2023 01:11 PM

We're good so far!

I hate the blues on the road.

Spike 09-17-2023 01:14 PM

Damn, I enjoy watching Steichen so much than Reich on the sidelines. The man has fire!

Brylok 09-17-2023 01:15 PM

Many empty seats in Houston today.

Oldcolt 09-17-2023 01:15 PM

Love that Steichen keeps AR working on short to intermediate passes. Repetition to work in good lower body habits. Interesting to see how we respond to having a lead early.

WaynesWorld87 09-17-2023 01:16 PM

100% a fumble.

CletusPyle 09-17-2023 01:17 PM

That is our ball unless they claim they blew the whistle!

Brylok 09-17-2023 01:17 PM

That's a fumble. Straight up

Puck 09-17-2023 01:17 PM

Holy fuck this is fun again. So far

o

There's 1 sack.

It's been years Puck. Years

CletusPyle 09-17-2023 01:19 PM

Big hit on AR, but he seems fine....I know Houston sucks, but this team looks pretty strong right now!

Brylok 09-17-2023 01:20 PM

It's an AR show!

CletusPyle 09-17-2023 01:27 PM

Speed is a beast!:D

Granted that the vast majority of posters on this site don't give a rat's ass, but today is a big day for the few Colts and Orioles fans here on ColtsFreaks who have been rooting for the Colts since they have been in Baltimore ...... the Orioles have been in 1st place for 2 months now, and are trying to lock up the #1 seed in the American League. They clinched the season-series by beating the Tampa Bay Rays last night.

o

Brylok 09-17-2023 01:36 PM

Left handed. Lol

ChaosTheory 09-17-2023 01:37 PM

Catch that, goddamn.

Brylok 09-17-2023 01:37 PM

Taylor needs to pull his head out of his ass and rejoin this team.
