Colts vs Titans

Here's the YT preview (probably all AI, but worth a look):

These are the kind of games that have the potential to be heart breakers. The colts should be heavy favorites but they aren't, the Titans are inexplicably only 3 point dogs even after the rams embarrassed them last week.

To me, both the broncos and Dolphins are better than what I have seen of the Titans. Our depth at WR+Warren should tear them apart downfield, they gave up 6 YPC last week, JT should feast.

Still, 11 quarterbacks and 6 years since Luck retired, I don't think anyone will be shocked if we lose this game.

The caution is that the Colts have had a tendacy in the past to play down to the level of their competition time and time again.

If this thing is real with the offense, then this game will look a whole lot like week one where we took the game in hand early and never let go.

We will see. I am cautionally optimisitic that Danny Dimes can be the real thing and power an offensive cast that just needed a solid QB to run well.

Time will tell.

I think the guy has passed every test so far. He needs to keep stacking good games. First game was how well he has a grasp of what Steichen wants to do with this offense and second game he handled pressure very well. The other major strike against him is that he cannot really bring a team back from a deficit. Hope we don't have to find that out this week. I am just optimistic and have thrown caution to the the wind. He has been way better than average. I still love AR though.

I don't like the fact that the Colts have to play this game in Nashville ...... I think that the Colts should play all 17 of their regular-season games in Indianapolis.

The titans look downright awful, like worst team in the league awful, so for the colts not to be heavily favored means people aren't convinced yet about the colts.

That's fine, I an resigned to the fact that I'm ready for this team to tear my guts out again.

I think it was Bootleg where I saw a statistical analysis of whether Jones has gotten better or if it's just being in a system conducive to his talent with far more support than he's ever received previously. The conclusion they came to was that it's a little of both. Having better talent obviously helps, but Jones is making throws he's never been able to make before, in part because he's never had the pieces around him like he has here to be able to rip a deep ball and have the confidence that he'll have the time to make the throw and the receiver who can go get it.

The Colts are heavily favored. It's not a 2005 Colts line, but the line I've seen is Colts -4.5. Vegas usually has a home team adjustment of -2.5 toward the home team, so that tells me Vegas sees the Colts as a 7 point favorite, and they'd be -9.5 were the game in Indy.

This could be l "Separation Sunday" l ...... can the Colts beat the Titans, and subsequently create some significant room between themselves and the rest of the division at such an early point in the season ???

Ideally the Colts and Texans win this weekend to give the Colts a full 2 game lead on the division.
