Hope so. I'm impressed with Ehlinger today. I thought he looked pretty damn good for his first game.

I think that they should have gone for it on 4th and inches ...... even if they didn't make it, they would still have 2 chances to win the game.

1) Keep the Commanders out of the end-zone on a 35-yard field.

2) Even if they got into the end zone, the Colts still may have had some time to get into field goal range on offense.

As it is, they probably only have one chance to win the game ...... if the Commanders score, the Colts probably won't have much (if any) time at all to come back with a field goal themselves.

I had a sinking feeling because of this when we punted the ball.

Oh, well.

I would rebuild this whole fucking team. Start with the over paid fucks that don't do their jobs!

Sorry this is disgusting football!

ColtBlue 10-30-2022 07:19 PM

Def played too conservative at the end..

Oh I know, I would blow this whole roster up.. Fire Frank and Ballard.

Lov2fish 10-30-2022 07:23 PM

I like Sam. It's just one game so not gonna anoint him, but, he definitely has the ability to extend plays and escape sure sacks. O-line is still fucking atrocious.

albany ed 10-30-2022 07:23 PM

I watched the game with no sound, so I'm a little confused. I thought that removing your helmet while on the field is a 15 yard penalty. Why wasn't it called after that great catch?

nate505 10-30-2022 07:24 PM

The defense was fine. Yeah, that last drive sucked but they played well enough to give a team with any reasonable competency on the offensive end a win.

The trouble is the Colts always start off slow, have an absolute crap bottom of the barrel garbage offensive line, and gave away the ball twice.

Brylok 10-30-2022 07:25 PM

Can't get rid of that offensive line all at once, but they gotta go

nate505 10-30-2022 07:26 PM

To steal a line from the great Norm MacDonald, this offensive line has been called everything from shit to fucking shit.

A time out had been called.

How? Nobody is going to take these contracts. We are fucked beyond belief.

DragonTails 10-30-2022 07:32 PM

I don't think they should blow the team up. Just blow up Frank.

Younger legs at QB made all the difference. Now just call some better plays.

If we had an OC that knew how to put players in position to succeed, I think we'd be ok-- even with this shit oline.

There were a few good play calls today, and we had a screen play work.

When there are 10 in the box at the 1 yard line, you probably don't want to run up the middle.

The next to last possession, on 2nd and 7, if Ehlinger keeps to the outside, it's a first down and game over.

Frank's not going anywhere and neither is Ballard. This is who we are and who we'll be.

bertjones 10-30-2022 07:42 PM

Hard loss to swallow. I thought the Colts had earned a win. But Frank
played not to lose offensively and defensively down the stretch and he lost.
The fumbles were killers. The offensive line is crap. seeing Kelly and Nelson
on the sidelines yukking it up while the game was in the balance made me
want to throw a beer through the screen.
On the positive side I thought Ehlinger looked really good, looking forward to seeing more of him. Pierce continues to develop nicely and Cambell is quietly
putting together a nice year.
Hard to think this team isn't playing for next year what with the new QB,
Lousy O line and a D that hasn't been as good as advertised. I think Frank is
gone and it wouldn't break my heart to see Ballard gone too. He's drafted
some good players but he almost seems to revel in leaving gaping holes
in the franchise.

Would you have gone for it on 4th and inches from the 35 yard-line ???

That wasn't what I was suggesting. I think 2 straight running plays to start
was too conservative. Going for it on 4th, while tempting is probably a no.

The one time Frank should have gambled he plays it conservative and it bites him on the ass! Good call C&O!

My thoughts exactly when I saw that shit.

ColtBlue 10-30-2022 10:39 PM

All in all I thought Sam was decent. I thought he would have had more turnovers than the 1 fumble to be honest. I had no reason to believe a guy with 18 career regular snaps before this game is going to take care of the ball.

Just wish we could've gotten in the endzone on the one Pittman was just short on.

I definitely would have gone for 2 after the Hines TD, it made no sense no to !!

Pitt has to get that into the endzone....I think he was a little undecided as to whether to go outside or straight ahead and kind of lost some of his momentum!

This game fuckin hurt

I’m sick of saying it…. Fuckin turnovers

Taylor’s fumble was terrible

How do we not run a QB sneak from the 1???

He has had a week of work. Probably hasn’t taken snaps under center and you have to practice it. And that’s an RPO look and it is the most effective short yardage package in the nfl bc it forces the defense to spread out and cover multiple options.

You’ll never convince me RPO from the 1 is more effective then a QB sneak
