Not what was saying or meant at all. I just think it's humorous/really fucking annoying when ESPN gives front page headlines/captions to the losing team. Fortunately, in this case, it didn't last long. Justin Houston got his rightful moment in the spotlight. |

Look at Baker Mayfield versus Mahomes. Sure, the NFL gives Mayfield credit and likes to hype him a bit, but with Mahomes or the QB in Baltimore, it's taken to a whole 'nother level because it caters to who they're trying to attract. None of this argument matters because it's all drowned out by the "that's racist! lalalalalala I can't hear this!" sentiment that some people prefer to fall back on.

Mahomes won the mvp already in his second year. Mayfield has yet to do anything except be on the Browns. If you are good or look pretty good the NFL will hype you. Stars drive the game, especially QBs who you can’t even hit anymore. That’s why they are so flummoxed by this Colts team, they don’t know who to hype. |
The NFL hypes success and potential along with good storylines for them and the league. They hype plenty of white guys too. It's not a racist thing. They hype whoever they can. Mahomes has been a fantastic young QB, so of course they are going to hype the kid up. ESPN and other media companies goes over the top on their side, because they like the drama along with it.

What Limbaugh said:
Quote:
I think one of the problems with African American QB's is that they are usually very good overall athletes. They tend to abandon the pass and are able to run their way out of trouble. And they tend to leave the game plan and start relying on running rather than distributing the ball around the field. I would also point out that's what Luck used to do and he suffered the fate of many a running QB, they get beat up and leave the game too early. Now Mahomes is a different thing all together. He has great vision, and ridiculous arm and he tends to stay back and find a receiever before taking off. How he didn't become a short stop? Probably can't hit the curve. |
