Massively blown coverage. Hopefully that was an anomaly.

Yet, here we are, still only up by 7 nearly through the first half. our defense is way too reliant on the offense making a mistake to capitalize on. We rarely just get a normal "stop". If we aren't getting sacks, or interceptions, it's almost always 3 or 7 for the opposing offense. We don't break up passes, or force rushed passes that sail high against good QBs.

I know that's just how it is, but it's also why I constantly feel like our defense is overrated. They're a boom or bust type of defense and it's maddening sometimes.

There wasn't a Colts defender within a 25 yard radius of the receiver. Smh

Stop running the ball out of the endzone

and yet there are probably 25 other teams in the NFL that would kill to have our defense.

We're going to fuck around and let this be a tie game at the half in a game we had every opportunity to "finish them" by the half.

Sure looks that way

Sure, probably so, but it doesn't make the "boom or bust" nature of our defense less frustrating for a fan. I mean I know not all Colts fans feel the way I do about our defense, but it gives me anxiety during games most weeks. We never have a start to finish dominant defensive performance, yet we've got a top 5-10 defense in the league.

Can our defensive backs just break up one pass? Is that too much to ask for? If we aren't sacking Watson, and he has a chance to throw, we don't have a defender in the vicinity of the receiver.
