The need to target the best leg in college and take him late or with an UFA tag. Let that kid work out in camp and let Vinny save his leg. If Vinny is ready, put the kid on the PS. He can do all the practice kicking.

no big surprise but its being reported that colts and vin are close to signing a contract.

Colts and future Hall-of-Fame kicker Adam Vinatieri are finalizing a one-year contract, per league sources. The NFL's all-time leading scorer now will return for a 24th season at the age of 46.

INDIANAPOLIS — Adam Vinatieri in 2018 solidified his status as the greatest kicker in NFL history.

But he’s coming back for more.

Indianapolis Colts general manager Chris Ballard, in an appearance on 1070 The Fan’s “The Dan Dakich Show,” revealed Friday that the Colts and Vinatieri have agreed to terms on a new contract that will keep the 46-year-old kicker in Indianapolis in 2019 for a 24th NFL season.
