ABC broadcast in central time zone didn't show 1 second of that Colts pick. The 2 new year's eve broadcast people kept talking and then it went to the desk guys. The name was just shown on the left side of the screen graphic. What happened?

With the 89th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the #Colts are selecting LB Bobby Okereke

Ballard is killing this draft. Okereke runs a 4:58 40. Along with Banogu, the LB corp got a HUGE influx of talent and athleticism.

Main takeaway from Colts draft: they want a defense that is more multiple. More athletic LBs, more ability to press on boundary. That doesn't mean they're going man, but they want ability to play more man on outside and press situationally. Didn't really have that last year.

Also when I asked if it was crazy to suggest Colts might look to upgrade over Walker after the KC game, well, I think they're trying to.

It looks like the Colts are going to get much more interesting on D, Okereke looks to be a much more Athletic MLB who can cover TEs and if what Banogu says is true he will be all over the place. Walker maybe shifts to SLB/MLB on run downs. This could be an exciting D. I am still a bit concerned about Saftey unless Geathers can stay healthy, hope to see at least depth pick tomorrow.

Same here. I don't even try to pretend I know a thing about these guys coming out of college and how their game should translate to the NFL.

I just use the "Freaks Pulse-o-Meter" to set my happiness meter for the draft. And the last two years the Freaks Pulse-o-Meter has been MUCH more positive than it was in the Grigs days.
