I'm going to take the liberty of speaking for Jaff ...... I think that he meant stepping off of his fan-wagon in general/overall, not for this specific meaningless game in this disastrous season.

CletusPyle 01-08-2023 02:57 PM

I hate to say this....but Ehlinger looks a little like a young George W Bush!:D

HoosierinFL 01-08-2023 02:58 PM

Sure that int was bad but look at how leaky this line is today, there’s a guy on ehlinger with nearly every drop back

DragonTails 01-08-2023 02:59 PM

holy fk...rainman can't block anyone...can't even touch them

Yeah, but is there an Ehlinger fan wagon at all if the Colts draft a QB in the first round? I doubt it's very big if there is.

Spike 01-08-2023 03:00 PM

Rain Man doing a good job at LT.

CletusPyle 01-08-2023 03:00 PM

Boo birds coming out of their nests!

nate505 01-08-2023 03:01 PM

Oh boy, another turnover!

They really want a better pick and to kick the Texans out of that #1 pick.

HoosierinFL 01-08-2023 03:02 PM

It’s almost funny

They need to start looking. You cant throw an int down there

Ehlinger is better at stepping up inside of the pocket ...... Bush Jr has the edge in throwing accuracy and blitz recognition.

o

Brylok 01-08-2023 03:03 PM

I won't say anything bad about Sam. He's been hard done this season.

Spike 01-08-2023 03:04 PM

Well, turnovers galore in this game, as it should be with 2 of the worst teams in the NFL.

There was a modest Ehlinger fan-wagon earlier this season, suggesting that he may be the Colts QB of the future ...... Jaff was taking a parting/sarcastic shot at them after the pick-6.

Of the three current options, count me on the Sam wagon for staying onboard next year but damn he needs to get smarter on his reads thought that joke of an O line is not helping any.

He's literally all we have right now. Scary days

In 1970, the 2 best teams in the NFL turned the ball over a combined 9 times between them in Super Bowl V ...... to this day, it remains the only time in which a player from the losing team was named the game's MVP.

I watched that game as a 7 year old.

Yeah, I think the idea was that they'd rather see him than Ryan or Foles. Which even after this game I still would if these are the QBs next year. And if they are, I might quit my 35 years of Colts fandom.

No, they were saying that they thought that Ehlinger may be the one, particularly just prior to the Patriots game disaster in early November.

And if you decide to stop rooting for the Colts, good luck with your new team and/or your new hobby.

o

CletusPyle 01-08-2023 03:23 PM

So the Colts are losing by 10 points at halftime to a team that desperately wants to lose!:D

nate505 01-08-2023 03:23 PM

Pure, complete, total incompetence at the end.

Unless you want to lose. Which I'm sure they do, but hey, that is bad optics and a half.

EDIT: Never mind, I'm blind. I thought they were at the Houston 30 yard line, not the Colts 30 yard line.

Dumpster fire

DragonTails 01-08-2023 03:24 PM

3 yard passes when we need 40 yards.

If you're scared of another INT then just punt on 1st down.

Oldcolt 01-08-2023 03:37 PM

I wanted Ehrlinger. Season was lost, Ryan had no future figured finding out what we had in him was as good as anything. Now we know. I will always be a Colt fan, albeit with different levels. I learned how to follow a losing team all those years with Jim's dad at the helm. I'm waiting for the sweetness that happens when it turns around. I'm 70, hope I live long enough but wouldn't take any bets with this group

Jaff has it all wrong. None of us were fan boys of Sam. We just wanted to see what he had since Ryan and Foles are dinosaurs. Jaff just likes to create shit when there really is no shit. He's so fucking annoying at times.

Brylok 01-08-2023 03:41 PM

There's a Campbell highlight for the sales pitch

CletusPyle 01-08-2023 03:43 PM

Saturday is a joke!

nate505 01-08-2023 03:44 PM

Saturday's inept clock management strikes again.

During a real shit year I think Campbell earned another contract. Not a huge contract, but definitely earned a new one. He is fast, and he is not afraid to get hit. Staying healthy has served him well this year.

Puck 01-08-2023 03:46 PM

glad they went for it but Sam sucks. Should have been a TD

Colts And Orioles 01-08-2023 03:47 PM

It would be fitting if this extremely uninteresting game went into overtime, to torture both fan-bases ...... it would be even more fitting if the game wound up in a tie after 10 minutes of overtime, as it did in the season-opener.

o

nate505 01-08-2023 03:48 PM

I don't even care that they went for it or would have kicked the FG.

But why call the fucking timeout? Holy hell Saturday, think about what the hell you're going to do a few plays down the road. This is real real real real real real real basic stuff as a head coach.

Spike 01-08-2023 03:50 PM

Damn, Franklin is hurt.
