If this guy is a good football player, I’d say draft him. While I like our receivers, I still feel like we don’t have a true #1. Pittman is a possession receiver, Campbell is true wideout but ceiling is as a #2 type guy. Pierce needs another year to get a feel for what he can do. OL and pass rush are bigger needs but I wouldn’t necessarily pass on someone who can be a true #1 wideout assuming that is true for Jr.

Anquan Boldin is a prime example. Ran a 4.7 40 and fell to the 2nd round. Ended up playing 14 seasons, winning a Super Bowl, and making 3 pro bowls

One of the best wide receivers of the 2000’s.

1) If Marvin Harrison Jr. has the route running ability of his father and the size and physicality of Calvin Johnson (which it appears he does), I don't care if he runs a 4.6, draft him.

2) If Marvin Harrison Jr. runs a 4.6, every DB in the class runs a 4.7 or slower.

If Ballard drafts Harrison Jr., or any receiver in the first round, without addressing QB or LT, he should be fired before the second round!!

Harrison Jr. is a sophomore. He isn't eligible until 2024. Ideally the Colts have their QB by then, and Harrison Jr. for some reason isn't viewed as a Top 5 pick.

The guys on Espn college game day say the same thing. Plug and play.

He already looks like an NFL WR. His body is fantastic and his skills are crazy. The catch he just made- doing just enough to body the defender, catch with one arm and stay in bounds- don't give a F what the 40 time is, the kid is cold and a guy you take as soon as you have a chance.

Streak and diving catch for 55 yd TD. STUD

JAFF 11-26-2022 02:46 PM

Looked fast on that deep TD play. Just saying

Well that depends.
Raimann might actually be the LT for the future. He’s shown progress and if he keeps it up, then we might have that spot nailed down by the end of the year.

We need more interior OL help really, namely RG and C. But those aren’t likely to be first round picks unless we luck into a Quenton Nelson clone but I’m not sure about that.

Assuming we’re picking in the middle of the first round, is there even a QB worth drafting there? Heck, is there even a QB at all in this draft we should go for? Odds are, Young, Stroud and Levis will be off the board after the 6th pick. And of those, Levis is the only one I think is NFL ready. I think Young will be a bust and Stroud is a 50/50 shot. (But what the fuck do I know anyway?)

Honestly pass rush is the real need here, not sure who is the best bet there, maybe the Murphy kid from Clemson? Or Verse from FSU?

Will Marv Jr even declare this year?

He can't. He's not eligible until 2024.
