Yes, it is getting ridiculous. The Colts have lost 6 straight road games to the Jaguars, including 2016 which was played in London, England. The Colts have lost 7 straight season openers - losses at Jacksonville, at LA Chargers, vs Cincinnati, at LA Rams, vs Detroit, at Buffalo, and at Denver. Sure, he does have potential and upside and he can exceed those expectations. But there are reasons why he was a 4th round draft pick. With the abbreviated COVID-19 training camp, he didn't receive a lot of reps this off season with the coaching staff. However, Jacob can observe and learn from two pro QB's this season. I think he can learn a lot just from seeing how Rivers and Brissett break down tape in the film room and how they prepare for game days in the starter and backup roles. |
