Thanks, Debbie Downer. :)

How can you not be a Debbie Downer with Chuckles on the sideline? Seen too much of his bullshit.

Never go for 2 unless it's the final 5 to 10 minutes of the 4th quarter.

The Panthers lost the 2003 season Super Bowl that way, and coaches to this day still have not learned from it.

They went for 2 when it was very early in the 4th quarter and missed it, went for 2 AGAIN 5 and-a-half minutes later in the quarter and missed it, and the Patriots went for 2 and got it (they would not have gone for 2 if the Panthers had simply kicked their extra points instead of having gone for Two 2-point conversions.)

Subsequently, the Patriots kicked the game-winning field goal as time expired, instead of the game-tying field goal.

I don't know about always waiting until the final 5-10 minutes of the game, but I do agree that generally you don't go for two/chase points until the 4th quarter. You sure as hell don't start doing it in the first half.

It'll all be mostly moot if we score the last points of the half, but if the Seahawks score a TD before we score our next points, then we're down two scores instead of one score like we would've been had we kicked the XP.

o

How do you know it will be moot if the Colts score on this drive to end the half ???

That was the whole point of my post, and of the lesson from the 2003 season Super Bowl between the Patriots and the Panthers ........ you have NO IDEA how things will play out over the final 2 quarters of the game. It is a single point that is permanently lost for the game, and it may or may not wind up coming into play in the final stages of the 4th quarter.

Look at it this way......most of us thought we would be getting blown out by the end of first half.

Just shoehorning commercials in.

Another bad spot that needs to be challenged.

Before he reached, Hilton was about a foot beyond the sticks. He was down before he reached, but he still had enough, regardless.

TY fighting for every yard... wish that was contagious enough for Moncrief to catch

Not disagreeing with you, rather reaffirming.

The only possible way for Collinsworth to sound smart is to completely shut up.

WaynesWorld87 10-01-2017 09:58 PM

Not playing for a TD here for some reason.
