I'll add another recommendation:

Arrested Development (Netflix)

First few seasons of The Walking Dead we’re good. I quit around the time negan came into the picture.

I don't know how anyone could waste any amount of time on that "Tiger King" shit. That was 20 minutes of my life I flat lost. Rather watch my car rust than that.

It's the Netflix series version of a Jerry Springer episode. People love crazy shit. :D

I’m on Amazon so I’m not sure which service has it, the Cold Blue. It’s a documentary made by William Wilder back in 1945 about the Memphis Belle crew

You lasted 20 minutes longer than I did. I know people who actually knew those people and saw it in real life. No way I'd watch that mess.

I've only gotten through about 10 episodes, but Peyton's Places on ESPN+ is fantastic. It's the series Manning did last year to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the NFL. The history of the league is fascinating and it's delivered via lots of old footage, classic Manning humor, and lots of cameos from all kinds of celebrities.

JAFF 04-16-2020 03:14 PM

On amazon: Buzz one four

I like Peyton's Detail series much more.

Wow, it looks like Carole Baskin got to you and Smitty both. Her reach is even further than I had imagined...

Watched a movie on Netflix last night named "Greater" about OG Brandon Burlsworth whom the Colts drafted out of Arkansas in the 3rd round in 1999 and who died in a car crash before he signed his rookie contract.

A bit cheesy but pretty good movie. I would recommend it.

It was one of those things that hurt a team. He “could” have been a big piece of an offensive line that would have dominated the afc south. Damn waste, for his family, the team, the league.

Anybody watching ESPN tonight? Colts v Cheatriots - 2005 edition. It's fun seeing the triplets in action again, the year they climbed the "mountain" and beat those cheaters....in New England. It's still painful, though, to hear the MNF crew speculating whether this team can go undefeated, knowing that we aren't even going to try when we reach game 15 undefeated......then that godawful 2005 beatdown by the Steelers in the AFCCG......UGH.

Nick Harper’s stabby wife. The fumbles. Vandershank. But I think the worst was not going for it. I think that is what made them rusty, they deny it but sports is about trying to be the best. They went against that.

I have been watching a series called Money Heist, which is a Spanish series about robbing a bank. It is dubbed so is a little annoying in that sense, but the plot lines are incredibly well thought out.

Dubbing is the worst thing that has happened to films and series imo. It just kills the atmosphere. If you are not used to subtitles, get used to them and watch it that way.

99% of the time I do subtitles and the original voices. I just can't take the bad acting even if it is in english. I watched a show called Kingdom which is basically zombies in ancient China. The dubbing was ok, but the original voices are just better IMO with subtitles.

TheMugwump 04-23-2020 08:43 PM

The Witcher
Umbrella Academy
Mad Men

Kingdom is great and anything that turd The Walking Dead should have been.

There is a fantastic police drama on the BBC called Line of Duty...no idea where you might be able to watch it though.

ukcolt 04-26-2020 10:46 AM

Another really good show is Killing Eve.

Extraction is a good movie with the Thor as the lead guy

HoosierinFL 05-07-2020 10:30 AM

I just watched Picard. Holy shit its the greatest thing I've seen in years. I was skeptical at first but I think it had a great wrapup that finally made it "feel" like Star Trek. One minor complaint, but its a spoiler.

I have to admit that 20 minute 1-take action sequence was pretty impressive.
