Harbaugh made an "official" statement that he's staying at Michigan. I saw it on r/Colts if anyone is interested. Colts reddit

Then it was announced Michigan is being investigated so good time to leave

It would be ironic (and refreshing) if this wound up being the reverse of what most coaches in that kind of situation do ...... they often leave just as the shit is about to hit the fan, and the school (rather than the coach) winds up holding the bag and paying the price. Harbaugh probably has/had a good chance to leave such a situation, but may wind up choosing to stay instead. If that sequence of events comes to fruition, that would be the most interesting scenario to wind up playing out. o |

Saints have given the Broncos permission to interview Sean Payton.
Sean McVey might be losing the Rams job. Anybody interested in him? I'd definitely have interest. |

Per Schefty McVay might be stepping away not, not possibly fired. |

Tony Dungy and Andy Reid both won Super Bowls. o |
I assume he meant before they won as an example. Dungy and reid were both well established and somewhat successful before they changed teams and then won the SB.

OK, but you had not said that. o |
If Ballard is was going to step down on his own or get fired would have happened this morning already. I also think we need to come to terms that Saturday will be back. What a mess.

Heard on First Take that Harbaugh has indicated he has interest in Indy due to his background- it makes a lot of sense to try to close out a loop that I am sure haunts him both here and in SF.
If not Harbaugh, Demeco Ryans or after what Detroit has been able to do, and after the damn hook and step ladder play yesterday, sign Ben Johnson for the gig. Both are young and aggressive and design things to their player's strengths. And please, please, please get rid of Ballard. He clearly missed on this whole concept of giving contracts to winners, to captains, to fighters- he has rewarded a BUNCH of quitters. Yest, one of the big screens- went for 15+ early, perfectly set up, Nelson has to make the ONE block he is assigned to, a block it used to just be a given that he was making it, if he gets it, it's a 60+ yard TD- he never even comes close and I believe it was Moss was tackled by that one man that could get to him. Either Nelson is hurt, or Nelson isn't very good anymore / JDGAF! |

Then the next seven games happened. Which actually weren't horrible until the fucking Minnesota debacle, and then the team just gave up. So if this season was an audition for him, he failed miserably. Sorry, but there's just no other way to look at it. I won't completely blame him for this shit show...there's plenty of blame to go around, but hey, this is a job where the buck stops where he's it. I seem to like Ballard better than many here, but honestly, I wouldn't care if he's gone either. Heck of a talent scout, but if the argument is to fire him for his failures on the QB and OL situation, I find it hard to argue. |

Yeah, I think he'd be better than he was with some more experience and a full off season to work with, and a more competent staff. But still, please, for the love of all that is holy hire someone else. |
Man I think we are fuckeD with that capital D!
Was listening to the radio and apparently will be a press conference in next couple days- headed by Ballard to announce future plans, and that he is leading the HC hiring task. So, we're likely going to hire Marty Schotenheimer and trade our entire draft to move to # 3 and select the 6'9" 430 pound LB out of Nothern Boise community college that is projected to go 231st. If Ballard is still here, then I would guess Saturday is as well- probably some Irsay horse trading that he will allow Ballard to stay so long as he keeps Saturday. Officially turning the ire towards Irsay at this point. JMV is RAGING about how this franchise needs an entirely new vision, and he is right. I've always been in Irsay's corner, but keeping Ballard is a slap in the face. FIRE JIM IRSAY! |

Change is necessary! |
Ballard is going nowhere, he would certainly have been fired by now....hopefully he drafts better QBs than he trades for!:D

If Ballard is still around next year, I am not even following the team...he will continue to be the same pig-headed, inflexible GM. There needs to be Ballard Gone, Ryan Kelly Gone, Braden Smith Gone, Leonard Gone. With the high draft pick, this is a good year/opportunity for change. |
