Good riddance.

If he catches on somewhere else and has a good career, more power to him. That said, sometimes you need a change of scenery, and he just wasn't getting the job done here.

is it his inaccuracy or weak ass leg that makes you think he will be good |

Look, let's not rag on the guy, AV didn't have a strong leg in NE, and had a rough start early in his career.
For some reason his leg got stronger while in Indy and he hit many more 50+ yard field goals than he did et NE. I agree, it was time to cut him loose. I believe it's all mental with this kid. He overthinks everything. Unlike the Canadian superstar to be MV, who thought he could make every kick whether or not he was really concentrating on his job or not. |

Adam V had focus from years of working up from the bottom to get to the top. He was not the best kicker early, he was fortunate his coach had patience. |

Since being released, Blankenship worked out for a few teams (Jaguars, Cardinals, etc) before eventually signing with the Cardinals practice squad to help fill-in for their regular kicker Matt Prater who is recovering from a hip injury. In his first game action for AZ: The Good: Specs went 2 for 2 on FG's including a 50 YD FG The Bad: Specs missed an extra point attempt (2 for 3 on XP's) Still seems to be a bit inconsistent with the results. I wish him well, but I like that the Colts now have a FG kicker who can routinely make 50+ YD FG's. |
