Yep, now NO LET up, don't want to see one of these games where all the sudden we go Prevent the Win on offense and start giving 25 yard cushions on D----- Stomp on their throats!

We did this last week, and then the wheels fell off. I hope we can build on it throughout the game this time.

I don't know if the Colts will win this game, but the 14-0 start makes it highly unlikely that they won't AT LEAST be in the game with a good chance to win it when the 4th quarter rolls around ...... and that is somewhat comforting to me.

WaynesWorld87 11-21-2021 02:32 PM

I liked the Taylor pick when we made it, and thought he could be a really good NFL back. However, I did not expect nor think he'd ever approach "cheat code" levels of good, but he appears to have done just that this year.

Racehorse 11-21-2021 02:33 PM

Taylor already has 65 yards from scrimmage and two TDs. Love that he is our RB.

TheMugwump 11-21-2021 02:34 PM

Ravens game. Titans game. Last week against Jags. We know 14 point leads are never safe.

Keep playing the EXACT same way through the 4th quarter. Please please please.

Get an early lead, then pin their ears back with an aggressive defense ...... shades of the days of Freeney and Mathis.

I mentioned this last week, but he and Pittman about what, eight picks between them. Has any team ever gotten two such absolute studs in such close order in the draft?

If only someone here was somewhat of an historian...

Did the same thing several weeks ago against the Titans, too. We've proven this year we're capable of coming out strong in the first 15-25 minutes of game time, and then looking like shit the rest of the game and blowing or nearly blowing 2+ score leads.

Commentators just said after that big throw across the middle:
"Colts are setting up to keep the ball in front of them that's why the safeties are so far back. Eber(SUCK)- my emphasis but clearly what the commentators wanted to call him too- emphasized to us this week, we have to keep from giving up the big plays.

It's 1st Qtr, we are up 14, don't become a counter puncher for no F'ing reason- load up and knock them out!

That is always the colts plan. That didn’t change because they are up 14. I don’t like it but it is always their plan.

ChoppedWood 11-21-2021 02:40 PM

Come on be a pick!!!

CletusPyle 11-21-2021 02:41 PM

They won't give us this one...but I think he caught it!

nate505 11-21-2021 02:41 PM

Odum with Pick #2!!!!!!

I think he got it too.

WaynesWorld87 11-21-2021 02:41 PM

Not a pick. Damn.

NextManUp 11-21-2021 02:42 PM

I couldn’t tell from that replay. I think he got his hands underneath it though.

I honestly don't understand the "don't give up the big play but let the offense get 10 yard chunks at a time" defense.

Especially in windy rainy weather.

nate505 11-21-2021 02:44 PM

Damn, oh well, it was a good try.

TheMugwump 11-21-2021 02:44 PM

Pick or no pick, anything that delays the game long enough for the wind and bad weather to come in is okay with me.

The Bills (other than Allen scrambling) can't run the ball for shit. Colts have Taylor and Hines.

Bad weather is a huge advantage for Indy.

It'd make more sense if we had anything resembling a solid pass rush, but we don't. So yeah, it makes no damn sense.

I don’t like it either, but the idea is it is hard to have those long sustained drives. That first pick is an example of what the idea is. Offense made a mistake and D capitalized

Allen can throw in the wind, cold rain and snow

The theory is that if you make them take multiple plays to go down the field, it give the defense more chances to make a play. The reality is a bit different, however.

nate505 11-21-2021 02:46 PM

Well, that sucked.

WaynesWorld87 11-21-2021 02:47 PM

Our defense hasn't really "stopped" them. Their first drive was ruined by a holding call that forced a 3rd and 18 and a forced ALlen pass to try and pick up the 1st down. Odom made a good read on the pick, sure, but our defense was getting gashed up until the penalty on the Bills first drive.

And obviously the defense got shredded on this drive. This has Titans game vibes all over it.

CletusPyle 11-21-2021 02:47 PM

Not to beat a dead horse, but Diggs interfered with Odum on that possible interception....just reached out and grabbed a hold of him!

Maybe the defense it what caused them to have to hold.

Yeah they are going to shred this D most of the day. Weak pass rush and secondary isn’t going to hold up. Up to the offense to keep the pressure on them.

"The Colts allow the most touchdown catches in the NFL"

That's what EberSUCK's philosphy accomplishes

Yes, he's got a gun. That's one of the reasons the Bills drafted him.

But it's harder to throw in crap conditions that it is in good ones, and anything that tips things even slightly in the Colts favor is welcome.

I understand that. My point is, it doesn't give me hope that our 14-0 lead will hold because our offense will not score every possession and right now I'm not confident our defense will stop the Bills offense barring timely penalties or takeaways.

Which he did at Wyoming

Do not go 3 and out!

CletusPyle 11-21-2021 02:53 PM

Cheap f'ing play by the Bills on that low hit!
