So sad to hear this. RIP Smitty. Awesome guy. My sincere condolences and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Man I really liked, Smitty. Been talking with that dude for 25 years or so. He will be missed by me for sure. A coltfreaks legend if there ever was one.

Absolutely gutted to learn of Smitty's passing just now (I've been MIA from the site for yonks).

Smitty was a champion, someone I hadn't met in the flesh, but someone I spoke to on and off for about 25 years online.

When my wife was going through breast cancer in 2019, he often checked in to see how we were going. The same thing in 2024 when our son was born and spent seven weeks in hospital.

He had always said to come and stay with him if we ever got to his part of the world. A true shame it didn't happen.

Smitty will be missed big time.
