agree about ballard not risking his job on eason. here are some recent quotes from ballard.
“Look, taking one will get you all off my ass for a little bit, but the second that guy doesn’t play well, I’m going to be the first one run out of the building.”
“I promise you we get the importance of the quarterback position, but the difference between just taking one, and taking the right one, is the key in our minds.”
eason is a 4th round flier.
1. If we hit on the upside 2 years after the draft, great job ballard.
2. If he turns into a good backup, then we have a 4th round backup.
3. If he turns out to be good but we drafted someone like jones as our future, then eason is good trade bait.
4. If he flames out then not much lost.
